Wednesday (Jan 28,2009) brought Marysville our first big snow storm of the season! Going to bed Tuesday the snow was coming down hard and by 8pm they canceled school for Wednesday! This of course put a smile on all their faces. We woke up Wednesday morning to about 6 inches of snow and ice and the snow was still coming down hard. The snow and ice were bad enough that Honda actually canceled work! SO we had a free day at home with Bill too no less!
The kids spent the morning playing the Wii. After lunch we donned our snow gear and headed outside (by then it had stopped snowing with a total of 8-12 inches on the ground). Bill, Yuki and I worked on the driveway (luckily our neighbor came by earlier with his snow blower - so it was not so deep). The kids had a blast playing and sledding. Unfortunately the snow was too fluffy to make a snowman! After a few hours we went back inside and stayed warm for the rest of the day!
