Zoo Outing

Monday (3/30/09) the kids did not have school due to a teacher in-service day. The weather was forcasted to be sunny and nice so we went to the zoo!

I picked up the two neighbor kids across the street (Blaine is Kevin's buddy and Lexi is Graice's pal) and took them with us. Their mom was impatiently waiting to have a baby and going stir crazy with them in the house! So they are included in a few pics. We also met up with my good friend Jen, her 4 kids, she had two extra kids with her. Then we ran into Christy (my co-pilot from Kalahari) and her two younger sisters. Two adults, one teenager, and 14 kids between the ages of 3 and 11! It was a great day!

You will also notice that I did not take any pictures of live animals. This was not on purpose - the kids just love to sit on these sculptures that are placed all around the zoo, and I was able to get a few cute shots.

This though is my favorite - The first one was taken in April of 2006 and then we set up another one on Monday. I've known Jen since they moved here in 2001 - all of our kids are great friends and Jen and her husband Bryan are some of our best friends too. They were the loving family who took Merlin for us when we were living in Japan and loved him like their own!
